Welcome

Welcome to the online portfolio of Jesse Strycker. I am an Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology in the Department of Educational Studies in the Patton College of Education at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Instructional Technology Education in the College of Education at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.

My doctoral work was completed in Instructional Systems Technology in the School of Education at Indiana University - Bloomington.

I work in the areas of Educational / Instructional Technology and Design. While the majority of my work has been in the K-12 context, preparing teachers and working on both national and statewide projects on teacher technology use and preparation, I have also worked with museums, on serious game design, and on a project for the U.S. Navy. My research focuses on technology integration, teacher technology preparation, and virtual learning environments. My current course load focuses on technology integration and teaching and learning online.

Here you will find examples of my research, teaching, and service activities. I've also included information about some of the different projects I have had the opportunity to work on through the years.
